Welcome back to the Gotham Suburbs

You were neither missed nor not missed. We are neither happy nor sad to have you back. Nor do we feel any other emotion at all about it. Furthermore, we grant you your continued limited visitation rights to Gotham itself. You may see it on the weekends but day-to-day you are confined to the burbs which show all of the downsides and none of the upsides of Gotham itself. It is where you came from and are destined to return. Enjoy the industrial burbs of Gotham for they are yours and you are theirs.

Weather like this is why I left the Northeast. I love and hate being back. Hate is too strong a word for the negative emotions the cloudy rainy days bring out of me. I love being back and am instilled with low-grade depression by being back. Yay.

the cell phone

is not yet in the river. i will not toss it into the river until i get at least one suggestion fo what else I should do to torture the bastard. c'mon. you must have some fantasies about what you'd do to your cell phone. think Office Space- the scene where they take baseball bats to the printer. you name it, i'll do it to my cell phone. and then it goes in the river!

Cell Phone -> ITR

ITR is for "In the River" from the urban legend where the UPS driver was signing packages "ITR" and dumping them in the river. I hate my cell phone. It died and I got a new one but I still hate cell phones. I am therefore throwing my cell phone in the Schuylkipquylll (sp?) River this weekend. Please leave suggestions as to what else I should do with it before then. So far I've used it to practice kicking field goals (kicked it through an open front door).

The Science of Sleep

I give it like eight thumbs up. A hundred million foos over the bar. Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind was good but The Science of Sleep was better. The Science of Sleep is the new fuckedupedly good movie. It really becomes an amazingly good thing that you can't tell what's a dream and what's real in this movie. It's fucked up and it's awesome. I heart this movie. This will be one of those rare movies I can watch more than once and maybe even own. I'll admit it, it helps if you speak french. Sometimes the subtitles just don't cut it- the actors delivery is so key and just not caught by reading words on a screen. Finally, I'd like to give this movie major props for being set in France yet happen mostly in English without giving you that feeling of why does everybody speak English all the time in France? 'Twas well blended. Props.
